How it works

Five days, start to finish

A clear sequence so you always know what is happening in your home.

01

Free estimate

We visit, measure, check the substrate and send a fixed written quote within 48 hours.

02

Prep & protection

Doors labelled and removed, floors and counters masked, dust containment installed.

03

Degrease, sand, prime

Kitchen grease is the number one cause of peeling. We degrease, scuff sand and bond-prime every surface.

04

Spray finish

Two to three coats of conversion-grade coating, sprayed for a smooth factory look with no brush marks.

05

Reinstall & walkthrough

Hardware fitted, doors rehung and aligned, and a walkthrough before we hand the kitchen back.

The workflow

How a kitchen actually gets painted

Ten stages, in order. Skip any one of them and the finish fails within a year - this is the part that separates a spray job from a paint job.

  1. 01

    Inspection & adhesion test

We check the substrate - thermofoil, melamine, oak, maple or MDF all behave differently - and spray a test patch to confirm the coating will bond.

  2. 02

    Doors, drawers & hardware off

Every door and drawer front is numbered and its hinges bagged, so each one goes back on the exact opening it came from.

  3. 03

    Containment & masking

Plastic dust walls, floor protection, counters and appliances masked, and a negative-air fan so sanding dust never reaches the rest of the house.

  4. 04

    Degrease, twice

Kitchen grease is the number one cause of peeling. Every surface is washed with a degreaser, rinsed, and wiped again before a single grit touches it.

  5. 05

    Sanding & scuffing

All faces scuff-sanded to break the factory sheen and give the primer a mechanical key. Profiles and corners are done by hand, flats by orbital sander.

  6. 06

    Fill, caulk & repair

Dents, chips, old hardware holes and open joints are filled, then sanded flush. Loose panels are re-glued and end panels re-caulked.

  7. 07

    Bonding primer, sprayed

A high-adhesion bonding primer is sprayed - not brushed - so the film is even. This is the coat that decides whether the finish lasts five years or five months.

  8. 08

    Sand between coats

The primer is sanded back with fine grit and vacuumed, then tack-clothed. This is what gives the final coat that glass-smooth feel.

  9. 09

    Two to three topcoats

Cabinet-grade, low-VOC lacquer sprayed with HVLP equipment. Doors are finished flat in a controlled booth, boxes are sprayed in place.

  10. 10

    Cure, reinstall & align

The coating cures hard before anything is touched. Then hinges, soft-close dampers and handles go back on and every door is aligned by hand.

Total on-site time: 4-5 days for an average kitchen.

Reviews

What homeowners say

They finished in four days and the kitchen looks like it came out of a showroom. Not a single drop of paint anywhere it should not be.

Priya S.

We were quoted a huge amount for new cabinets. Endy Homes did it for a fraction and honestly I cannot tell the difference.

Daniel R.

The colour consult was worth it on its own. They sprayed three samples on our own door before we picked.

Megan T.

Clean, on time, polite crew. Two years on and the finish still looks the day it was sprayed.
